WaveSurfer Audio Software
WaveSurfer is an open source project which we have packaged for your use. It has a simple interface suitable for recording, playback, and has limited editing functionality.
Our distribution of WaveSurfer is released primarily for music students, but can be downloaded by anyone. The creators of WaveSurfer have released it under a BSD-style license.

Choose one of the downloads below; both will install properly on computers with Windows 2000 or higher.
Installation Instructions
Download any one of the installer files above. Launch the downloaded file. You may see the following screen:
When the installer has prepared itself, you will see the following first step in the setup wizard.
Click Next. You can choose to specify an alternate install location, but the default should work fine.
The wizard will ask for your permission to continue with installation.
The installer will extract the files and create the shortcuts very quickly. You will see this progress dialog:
Once the installer has finished, you will see this confirmation. No restart is necessary.
